We've been learning about volcanoes and other natural disasters in class. We made our volcanoes by sticking water bottles on to a piece of cardboard and then putting scrunched up newspaper around it. We then used glue to cover up the newspaper (paper mache), once they had dried we painted them to look like real volcanoes! In the top playground, we did an experiment and erupted our own volcanoes.
My favourite fact about volcanoes: volcanoes that can erupt are called 'active volcanoes', 'dormant volcanoes' are volcanoes that are asleep but can still erupt. 'Extinct volcanoes' don't erupt anymore.
